Our Story
Craftise was founded in 2015 by mother-daughter duo Sobha and Priyanka Menon. Our shared love for fabrics and colours has enabled us to nurture this brand. A day at the Craftise studio is filled with bright colours, beautiful textures, a lot of arguments and a little (actually a lot) of whimsy—and our goal is to provide and create products that add a little of that brightness and joy to other people’s lives. The brand was built to create products that resonated with DIY enthusiasts and crafters, to bring their ideas and vision to life. It brings us immense pleasure to be able to see our products being turned into beautiful works of art.
Our Vision
Colours and creativity are at the heart of Craftise. We began this journey with some beautiful scraps of fabrics and have continued to add to our ever-growing collection of supplies. Our vision was to promote ease of accessibility to locally designed and produced products. We have worked ever since to create a brand with a distinct look and feel; a brand that involves and cherishes local artisans. We continue to empower and support our local community of artists and makers, encouraging creativity in all of its many forms.
We may have started as a craft company, but we have big ideas for the future of our brand. We have been working on introducing digital illustrations, DIY kits, exclusive prints, paper supplies, stationery and many more exciting additions. Craftise at its core is a brand for those who love to create. Creating something with your hands is a deeply satisfying pursuit and when you find the right products to make that perfect piece of clothing or home décor, it makes the entire process all the more gratifying. We care about the quality of our products and would only curate and create products that we’d use in our own lives. All our products are locally sourced and manufactured by skilled artisans and makers, thereby creating a sustainable means of livelihood for our partners in the artisan community.
We also believe in growing our brand in tandem with the Environment and aim to achieve a greater degree of Sustainability in our business practices. We are striving towards creating products that are less resource intensive and Eco-Conscious.
